I moved away from Jasper to finish my degree. Now living in Edmonton with plans to eventually move back and buy a house but it is pretty expensive. Now married, have a house, with a kid on the way. Life is good. Hard to believe it's been 16 years since I started playing this game (5-6 since I left) and the same folks are still kicking around... haha

I work as a Registered Nurse. Currently in critical care in Edmonton. I worked in the hospital prior to going to school in Jasper, so it's just a matter of waiting for a position to open. Also, Edmonton isn't all bad. Don't get me wrong, it's not a particularly nice looking city, but there is usually lots of events and such going on and lots of things to do around here. Also traffic is never really all that terrible compared to a lot of other major cities because of the way Edmonton is sprawled out.
Given the choice between Jasper and Banff, I'd probably check out Jasper if you're looking for the full wilderness gig. Very quiet town and you can see a lot more wildlife and such. Banff is a little more commercialized, so if you're looking for some pretty views and nice shops/restaurants that's probably a better bet though.
I dont mind edmonton a lot of my friends live there. I used to funnel through there for Fort Mac when I worked up there. Makes sense being a RN working in jasper, I was trying to think what you could possibly do there fulltime other than anything with the park but that makes sense.
Wtf never thought I'd see so many bertans in one thread. Jasper>Banff in summer Banff is too much of a tourist trap and blows in summer but there's some of the best winter activity there.
